Introduction
Fibroblast Growth Factor 17 (FGF17) belongs to the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members have broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in various
biological processes including embryonic development cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. The FGF17 gene is highly expressed in the cerebellum and cortex. The mouse homolog of the FGF17 gene is localized to specific sites in the midline structures of the forebrain, the midbrain-hindbrain junction, developing skeleton and developing arteries, suggesting a role in central nervous system, bone and vascular development.

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Formulation
FGF17 protein was lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4.
Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized FGF17 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100μg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability
Lyophilized FGF17 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution FGF17 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).?

Biological Activity
