MBS287822 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the ADP-ribosylation factor-like protein 2 (ARL2) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing ARL2. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS287822 kit is based on ARL2 antibody-ARL2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ARL2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ARL2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate ARL2 in samples. An antibody specific for ARL2 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any ARL2 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ARL2 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ARL2 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Prevents the TBCD-induced microtubule destruction. Participates in association with TBCD, in the disassembly of the apical junction complexes. Antagonizes the effect of TBCD on epithelial cell detachment and tight and adherens junctions disassembly. Together with ARL2, plays a role in the nuclear translocation, retention and transcriptional activity of STAT3. Component of a regulated secretory pathway involved in Ca2+-dependent release of acetylcholine. Required for normal progress through the cell cycle.
