Small volumes of anti-ARSA antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
anti-ARSA antibody
Description: The protein encoded by this gene hydrolyzes cerebroside sulfate to cerebroside and sulfate. Defects in this gene lead to metachromatic leucodystrophy (MLD), a progressive demyelination disease which results in a variety of neurological symptoms and ultimately death. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]
Function: Hydrolyzes cerebroside sulfate.
Subunit Structure: Homodimer at neutral pH and homooctamer at acidic pH. Exists both as a single chain of 58 kDa (component A) or as a chain of 50 kDa (component B) linked by disulfide bond(s) to a 7 kDa chain (component C). Interacts with SUMF1.
Post-translational Modifications: The conversion to 3-oxoalanine (also known as C-formylglycine, FGly), of a serine or cysteine residue in prokaryotes and of a cysteine residue in eukaryotes, is critical for catalytic activity. This post-translational modification is severely defective in multiple sulfatase deficiency (MSD).
Similarity: Belongs to the sulfatase family.

Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemisty (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), ELISA (EIA)
Application Notes for anti-ARSA antibody
WB: 1:500-1:2000
IHC: 1:50-1:200
IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500
Immunofluorescence (IF) of anti-ARSA antibody
MBS9607240 staining Hela cells by IF/ICC. The sample were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25 degree C. The primary antibody was diluted at 1/200 and incubated with the sample for 1 hour at 37 degree C. An Alexa Fluor 594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) antibody, diluted at 1/600, was used as secondary antibody.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-ARSA antibody
MBS9607240 at 1/100 staining Human gastric tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-ARSA antibody
Western blot analysis of extracts of mouse muscle, using ARSA antibody.
