This ECGF1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 318-345 amino acids from the Central region of human ECGF1.

Purified Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Pab)

Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.

Vial Concentration: 2 (lot specific)

Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

ECGF1 is an angiogenic factor which promotes angiogenesis in vivo and stimulates the in vitro growth of a variety of endothelial cells. It has a highly restricted target cell specificity acting only on endothelial cells. Mutations in the gene encoding ECGF1 have been associated with mitochondrial neurogastrointestinal encephalomyopathy.

Western blot analysis of anti-ECGF1(Center) Pab in HepG2 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). ECGF1(arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue reacted with ECGF1 antibody (Center) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
