Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of ANXA5 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS9379227 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Annexin A5 (ANXA5) ELISA Kit target analytes in
biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing ANXA5. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9379227 kit is based on ANXA5 antibody-ANXA5 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ANXA5 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ANXA5. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for ANXA5
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the annexin family of calcium-dependent phospholipid binding proteins some of which have been implicated in membrane-related events along exocytotic and endocytotic pathways. Annexin 5 is a phospholipase A2 and protein kinase C inhibitory protein with calcium channel activity and a potential role in cellular signal transduction, inflammation, growth and differentiation. Annexin 5 has also been described as placental anticoagulant protein I, vascular anticoagulant-alpha, endonexin II, lipocortin V, placental protein 4 and anchorin CII. The gene spans 29 kb containing 13 exons, and encodes a single transcript of approximately 1.6 kb and a protein product with a molecular weight of about 35 kDa. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
UniProt Comments for ANXA5
ANXA5: a calcium/phospholipid-binding protein and an anticoagulant protein that acts as an indirect inhibitor of the thromboplastin-specific complex, which is involved in the blood coagulation cascade. The binding of labeled ANXA5 to phosphatidylserine is used as a marker of apoptosis. Annexins are a family of structurally related proteins whose common property is calcium-dependent binding to phospholipids. There are at least ten different annexins in mammalian species. Annexins do not contain signal peptides, yet some annexins (A1, A2 and A5) appear to be secreted in a physiologically regulated fashion.
Protein type: Apoptosis; Calcium-binding; Inhibitor; Lipid-binding
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4q27
Cellular Component: cytoplasm; focal adhesion; intracellular; membrane
Molecular Function: calcium-dependent phospholipid binding; phospholipase inhibitor activity; phospholipid binding; protein binding
Biological Process: negative regulation of apoptosis; signal transduction
