Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-ADD2 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
anti-ADD2 antibody
Function: Membrane-cytoskeleton-associated protein that promotes the assembly of the spectrin-actin network. Binds to the erythrocyte membrane receptor SLC2A1/GLUT1 and may therefore provide a link between the spectrin cytoskeleton to the plasma membrane. Binds to calmodulin. Calmodulin binds preferentially to the beta subunit.
Subunit Structure: Heterodimer of an alpha and a beta subunit. Found in a complex with ADD2, DMTN and SLC2A1. Interacts with SLC2A1.
Post-translational Modifications: The N-terminus is blocked.
Similarity: Each subunit is comprised of three regions: a NH2-terminal protease-resistant globular head region, a short connecting subdomain, and a protease-sensitive tail region. Belongs to the aldolase class II family. Adducin subfamily.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-ADD2 antibody
Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), ELISA (EIA)
Application Notes for anti-ADD2 antibody
WB: 1:500-1:1000
IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500
Immunofluorescence (IF) of anti-ADD2 antibody
MBS9604966 staining 293 cells by IF/ICC. The sample were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25 degree C. The primary antibody was diluted at 1/200 and incubated with the sample for 1 hour at 37 degree C. An Alexa Fluor 594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) antibody, diluted at 1/600, was used as secondary antibody.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-ADD2 antibody
Western blot analysis of extracts from 293 cells, using ADD2 antibody. The lane on the left is treated with the antigen-specific peptide.
