Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-LMAN1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

anti-LMAN1 antibody
This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against LMAN1. It was validated on Western Blot using a cell lysate as a positive control.
Target Description: LMAN1 is a type I integral membrane protein localized in the intermediate region between the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi, presumably recycling between the two compartments. The protein is a mannose-specific lectin and is a member of a novel family of plant lectin homologs in the secretory pathway of animal cells. Mutations in its gene are associated with a coagulation defect. Using positional cloning, its gene was identified as the disease gene leading to combined factor V-factor VIII deficiency, a rare, autosomal recessive disorder in which both coagulation factors V and VIII are diminished. The protein encoded by this gene is a type I integral membrane protein localized in the intermediate region between the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi, presumably recycling between the two compartments. NCBI Summary for LMAN1
The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane mannose-specific lectin that cycles between the endoplasmic reticulum, endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment, and cis-Golgi, functioning as a cargo receptor for glycoprotein transport. The protein has an N-terminal signal sequence, a calcium-dependent and pH-sensitive carbohydrate recognition domain, a stalk region that functions in oligomerization, a transmembrane domain, and a short cytoplasmic domain required for organelle targeting. Allelic variants of this gene are associated with the autosomal recessive disorder combined factor V-factor VIII deficiency. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2015]

1. Combined deficiency of factors V and VIII by chance coinheritance of parahaemophilia and haemophilia A, but not by mutations of either LMAN1 or MCFD2
