Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-Atad5 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-Atad5 antibody
Peptide ELISA (EIA)
Application Notes for anti-Atad5 antibody
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 64000.
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 60kDa band in lysates of cell lines NIH3T3 and NSO after 0. 01ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 204kDa according to NP_001025027.1. The 60kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

UniProt Comments for Atad5
ATAD5: Involved in DNA damage response. Involved in a RAD9A- related damage checkpoint, a pathway that is important in determining whether DNA damage is compatible with cell survival or whether it requires cell elimination by apoptosis. Modulates the RAD9A interaction with BCL2 and thereby induces DNA damages- induced apoptosis. Belongs to the AAA ATPase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Cellular Component: nucleus
Molecular Function: ATP binding; nucleotide binding
Biological Process: response to DNA damage stimulus
