If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-Cckar antibody
Peptide ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes for anti-Cckar antibody
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 64000.
Western Blot: Approx.75kDa band observed in purified membranes of Rat insulinoma cell line RIN14B (calculated MW of 48.4kDa according to NP_033957.1). Data were published by El-Kouhen K and Morisset J. Int J Endocrinol.2009;2009: 875167; PMID: 20011057. The observed molecular weight also corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Morisset et al J Histochem Cytochem.2003 Nov;51(11): 1501-13; PMID: 14566022). Recommended concentration: 0.1-0.3ug/ml.

UniProt Comments for Cckar
CCKAR: Receptor for cholecystokinin. Mediates pancreatic growth and enzyme secretion, smooth muscle contraction of the gall bladder and stomach. Has a 1000-fold higher affinity for CCK rather than for gastrin. It modulates feeding and dopamine-induced behavior in the central and peripheral nervous system. This receptor mediates its action by association with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.
Protein type: Receptor, GPCR; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Membrane protein, integral
Cellular Component: cytoplasm; cytosol; endoplasmic reticulum; endosome; integral to membrane; lysosome; membrane; plasma membrane; terminal button
Molecular Function: cholecystokinin receptor activity; G-protein coupled receptor activity; signal transducer activity
Biological Process: actin cytoskeleton reorganization; axonogenesis; digestion; eating behavior; elevation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration; feeding behavior; forebrain development; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; gastric acid secretion; insulin secretion; neuron migration; pancreatic juice secretion; reduction of food intake in response to dietary excess; regulation of calcium ion transport; regulation of hormone secretion; regulation of potassium ion transport; response to heat; response to starvation; signal transduction; thermoregulation
