Biological Significance
Endothelins are a family of peptides that are potent vasoconstrictors produced by mammalian vascular endothelial cells. The receptors for endothelins are widely expressed on tissues.
Immunogen
EDNRB antibody was raised in sheep using C-terminal peptide KANDHGYDNFRSSNN of rat ET(B) Receptor corresponding to amino acids 424 to 437 conjugated to KLH as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Avoid repeated Freeze/Thaw cycles.

Its ligand, endothelin, consists of a family of three potent vasoactive peptides: ET1, ET2, and ET3. Studies suggest that the multigenic disorder, Hirschsprung disease type 2, is due to mutation in endothelin receptor type B gene. Essential component in the normal development of two neuronal crest-derived cell lineages. Two splice variant isoforms have been described.
