Usage
Reconstitute in 20mM Tris, 150mM NaCl (pH8.0) to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Do not vortex.
Preparation and Storage
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Store at 2-8 degree C for one month. Aliquot and store at -80 degree C for 12 months.
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
ISO Certification
Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 Certified Laboratory.
Supply Chain Verification
Manufactured in a lab with traceable raw materials. Bulk orders can typically be prepared to the customera??s specifications, please inquire.
Other Notes
Small volumes of LAMa2 recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for LAMa2
LAMA2: Binding to cells via a high affinity receptor, laminin is thought to mediate the attachment, migration and organization of cells into tissues during embryonic development by interacting with other extracellular matrix components. Defects in LAMA2 are the cause of merosin-deficient congenital muscular dystrophy type 1A (MDC1A). MDC1A is characterized by difficulty walking, hypotonia, proximal weakness, hyporeflexia, and white matter hypodensity on MRI.
Protein type: Extracellular matrix; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 10 A4|10 14.23 cM
Cellular Component: basal lamina; basement membrane; dendritic spine; sarcolemma
Biological Process: axon guidance; positive regulation of synaptic transmission, cholinergic
Research Articles on LAMa2
1. Deletion of integrin alpha7 subunit does not aggravate the phenotype of laminin alpha2 chain-deficient mice. laminin-211 and integrin alpha7beta1 have intersecting roles in skeletal muscle.
