Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-GNPAT antibody
Immunohistochemical analysis of DHAPAT staining in human brain formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.

NCBI Summary for GNPAT
This gene encodes an enzyme located in the peroxisomal membrane which is essential to the synthesis of ether phospholipids. Mutations in this gene are associated with rhizomelic chondrodysplasia punctata. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
UniProt Comments for GNPAT
GNPAT: Defects in GNPAT are the cause of rhizomelic chondrodysplasia punctata type 2 (RCDP2). RDCP2 is characterized by rhizomelic shortening of femur and humerus, vertebral disorders, cataract, cutaneous lesions and severe mental retardation. Belongs to the GPAT/DAPAT family.
