Purified Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Pab)
Form/Format
Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-INSRR antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for INSRR
IRR: Receptor with tyrosine-protein kinase activity. Functions as a pH sensing receptor which is activated by increased extracellular pH. Activates an intracellular signaling pathway that involves IRS1 and AKT1/PKB. Probable tetramer of 2 alpha and 2 beta chains linked by disulfide bonds. The alpha chains contribute to the formation of the ligand-binding domain, while the beta chains carry the kinase domain. Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. Tyr protein kinase family. Insulin receptor subfamily.
Protein type: Protein kinase, TK; Protein kinase, tyrosine (receptor); EC 2.7.10.1; Membrane protein, integral; Kinase, protein; TK group; InsR family
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q21-q23
Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; receptor complex
Molecular Function: insulin receptor substrate binding; phosphoinositide 3-kinase binding; transmembrane receptor protein tyrosine kinase activity; ATP binding
Biological Process: peptidyl-tyrosine phosphorylation; protein amino acid autophosphorylation; male sex determination; actin cytoskeleton reorganization; transmembrane receptor protein tyrosine kinase signaling pathway
