FXYD domain-containing ion transport regulator 5 (FXYD5) is a cancer-associated cell membrane glycoprotein which is a part of the FXYD family. FXYD5 is engaged in down-regulation of E-cadherin, which takes part in tumor development and metastasis and results in reduced cell adhesion.FXYD is found in spleen, lung, skeletal muscle, and testis tissue, and maps to human chromosome 19q13.2.
FXYD5 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 147 amino acids (22-145 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 16.1kDa. FXYD5 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
FXYD5 protein solution (0.5mg/ml) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.1M NaCl, 10% glycerol and 1mM DTT.
