Jun dimerization protein 2 (JDP2) is a component of the AP-1 transcription factor which inhibits transactivation mediated by the Jun family of proteins. JDP2 is involved in various transcriptional responses associated with AP-1 such as UV-induced apoptosis, cell differentiation, tumorigenesis and antitumogeneris. In addition, JDP2 can act as a repressor by recruiting histone deacetylase 3/HDAC3 to the promoter region of JUN. JDP2 controls transcription via direct regulation of the modification of histones and the assembly of chromatin.
JDP2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 187 amino acids (1-163 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 21.2kDa.
JDP2 is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
JDP2 protein solution (0.25mg/ml) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.2M NaCl, 50% glycerol, 1mM DTT, 1mM EDTA and 250mM imidazole.
